As other European Countries climb out of recession along with the USA, Britain is still suffering the effects of the longest recession on record.

Earlier this week we announced that CBC Staff member, Mike Loftus, would be embarking on the difficult challenge of abseiling down the Cunard Building in Liverpool. This is all in the aid of his nominated charity, The Stroke Association.

Mike has spent the last week fundraising and has already raised £116.00 towards his £200.00 target.

Mediation has hit the headlines this week as the BBC looks at how mediation can be used to defuse the current disagreement between the Royal Mail & Communication Workers Union, who failed to reach agreement despite three days of talks this week.  This article, titled ”Doing deals between angry parties“ can be found on the BBC website.

The event is called  ‘Liverpool Shocks Abseil’ and has been arranged by The Stroke Association.  We are happy to support Mike in his fund raising activities and we have provided him with a CBC International t-shirt in order to demonstrate how our company is committed to such a worthwhile cause.
