Before risking your money, it pays to have as much information as possible on your prospective customer. Knowledge on existing customers should also be updated from time to time. After all, one of your regular customers could be in extreme financial difficulty and you would certainly want to know about it.

The information contained in the status report will verify the exact trading style of your customer and will give an appraisal of the performance of the business, using the information contained in the last filed accounts, in the case of a limited liability company. In the case of a partnership or sole trader, a partner or principal would be interviewed to establish trading information.
